About Noel
Hi, I’m Noel.
I am one of the pastors at Riverview Church in the Lansing, Michigan area. We have a venue in Holt and one on the campus of Michigan State University.

So…why do I blog? Well, I blog for two reasons:
For Me
- I use this blog to work out my faith publicly
- I use this blog to combat hypocrisy in my own life
For Others
- I use this blog as a teaching tool
- I use this blog as a connection point
A lot of pastors I know have blogs that are just church or theology related. My goal is a little bit different. I want to live my life as publicly as I comfortably can. This blog is a microcosm of my life–my doctrine, my teachings, my parenting, my friends, my passions, my pet-peeves–it’s all here in one form or another. The only arenas I shy from are ones that my wife and I decide will help us live as normal a life as possible. At minimum, I try to post church related stuff on Mondays, book reviews on Wednesdays, and randomness on Fridays. I don’t always hit all of these each week, but such is life.
