Good Search

Thanks to Kate, who let me know about GoodSearch.com. It’s a search engine that donates to your favorite charity.

And of course, we all know your favorite charity is Riverview!

Every time you search, the church gets a penny. Sure, it doesn’t seem like much, but think of the number of searches you do a day. I’ve been using it for a week or so and it’s not bad. They even have a Firefox plugin that makes it your default search engine.

So, if you feel like giving it a whirl, head over to their site and enter Riverview as your charity. You know you want to.

“Your search or request could not be completed due to unusually high volume.
We thank you for your patience as we add more capacity.”

    Well that blows.

I just tried it and got the same error as Brett did yesterday. Wonder if anyone has gotten this to work…

  4. Noel Says:

Dang it. Anyone having luck? At what point is it dying on you?

  5. Ricko Says:

    I worked for me.

  6. Ricko Says:

I mean “It worked for me.”

  7. GaryD Says:

OK, I have it working now! Goodsearch stores some cookies to remember the charity name so I was actually able to add Goodsearch to my Firefox Hyperwords add-on as another search engine so I didn’t need to add their Goodsearch toolbar, cool!

I also changed the name to GODsearch :-)
