I'm REALLY glad that the LSJ printed Brett's picture with the article and not the one above!

Over all it seems like a positive representation of Riverview. Of course there will always be those who will be shocked & appalled by things like this.

I agree that the LSJ poll wording could be better, but results around 50/50 seem encouraging to me.

"Drinking beer! WHAT IN THE WORLD!!
This is not church.... this is the rotary club. Where do you draw the line. If you are going to be a "Christian" be a "Christian" This is one of the craziest and shadiest things I have ever heard.
I hope they have a designated driver after they leave!"

Some people are just so intimidated by different points of view.

FYI, river-brew.com (with the hyphen) is going to expire soon and I'm not planning on renewing it since I later got riverbrew.com which I prefer.

[...] If i were a comedian instead of an academic, i would have come up with some clever joke involving Saint Peter walking into the Drunken Clam to introduce this link. But i’m not. So instead, i will steal a line from the discussed group’s webpage - “to resume the Church’s historical role as making the finest beer in town” - to mention an article about a church in Lansing, MI with a homebrew ministry - something i’d heard about from some friends of mine involved a while ago.
