I Feel Naked

After church Sunday my piercer (and friend) Renee and I were chatting. Apparently, she agrees with Jimi: my eyebrow is rejecting my piercing. Apparently the gauge / size of the piercing was too big so gravity is literally pulling it down and out of my face. It’s just a matter of time until it comes completely out, leaving a whacky scar.
So today, she took it out for me.
It feels so weird…my piercing is just part of me. And now it’s gone.
I am counting down the days until January 27: the day I’m going to re-pierce it. Apparently it needs to heal first. Renee said she could temporarily pierce my nose or other eyebrow for me, but I decided against it.
Oh, and I am going with titanium next time. It is much lighter and shouldn’t reject.

Good to know. I almost freaked thinking, “oh no! Noel’s not going to have a piercing when he marrys us?!?!”
:o)

Would I do that to you?

The same thing happened to me. I never got it re-pierced though…
I would have gone for a smaller gauge but when I asked for a 16 or 18 gauge the piercer girl called me a girl so I went for a 12. It fell out within a few months.

Yeah, that same thing happened to me … WAIT! Who am I kidding? I can’t pull the look off. I’m spending too much time finding new clothes in black that don’t look dorky. Somehow I think the pierced brow might throw the priest uniform off a bit. Just a thought.
BTW, good Lord, you look depressed without that thing in your brow. It will be OK.

You are a sexy beast with or without the piercing.

Mine took years to migrate out. I actually think it was accelerated last year when I had to take it out and subsequently had it repierced.
On the other hand, if I hadn’t taken it out, I never would have met Renee (who has since gotten saved and plugged into Riverview). I guess my bare eyebrow is worth that price.
I’m stoked they do them in titanium now. I have a titanium wedding ring and I love how light it is. I’ll report on it in January.

Jack - I also seem to look more bald, as well. Hmmm…

I took mine out for the same reason about a month ago. I’m going to repierce when it heals and I can afford it. I’ll have to look into this titanium thing.
