It’s been a crazy few weeks. I was gone for about 10 days straight, spending only two nights at home during the whole time.
First, I went to Maryland / DC (I already posted about that trip). Then I headed to a planning retreat with some of the guys from GCM at Gull Lake, Michigan. This was the view from our cabin:

At one point one of the guys (Greg) needed some eye drops and he couldn’t put them in on his own, so he asked Wayne (a pastor at Illini Life Church in Illinois). The rest of us were in the other room trying to pray but they were being too loud. I didn’t know it was so complex to put in eye drops until I went in to take a look:

Not really sure why Wayne had the miner’s light with him.
The day after that retreat, I headed to Missouri to do a conference with a church called The Rock. When I landed in St. Louis, I was struck by the Airport Cops’ mode of transportation:

For the second trip in a row, I scored a free upgrade on my rental car. Kachow:

There were a half a dozen or so Korean nationals at the conference, which was cool. They’re my people, you know. One of them was this girl, Hae Jin:

Turns out she went to High School at OBI in Kentucky where my friend Michael Spencer teaches. Dan and I did a conference there last year. Small small world.
Speaking of small worlds, this was the weirdest sign I saw in Missouri:

This morning I had to leave early early early and drive east. The cool part was I got to watch the sunrise. The bad part was the sun was in my face.

Even though the last 10 days were a blast, it is very nice to be home.
