Update on Korean Hostages
Aug 7, 2007 Print This Post
Keep praying for the Korean hostages.
Recently, in the Digital Chosunilbo, they quoted the South Korean President’s spokesman as saying:
“We will not sit idle if there is any more killing of our nationals,” Cheong Wa Dae spokesman Cheon Ho-seon said in the statement. “Let us make it clear that we will call them to account by all available means for having killed our nationals.”
This could really continue to get worse, so we all need to be praying.
The only perfect solution would be the Taliban unilaterally releasing the hostages, which is not bound to happen. Any other way of this ending is not good.
Not sure how to pray for this except to remember three passages of Scripture:
Matthew 6:9-10
Our Father in heaven,
may your name be kept holy.
May your Kingdom come soon.
May your will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven.
Ephesians 6:18
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Romans 8:26
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
