Out Here All Night by Damone

The iPhone plans are out and they are better than I expected. Unfortunately, precisely when they go on sale, I will be teaching at a conference…

Oh, and I still have to get it cleared by my wife, but things look good all around.

Better than I would have thought, essentially $15/mo for unlimited data. I’ve been fairly pleased with my AT&T/Cingular service.

Congrats! I’m not a huge fan of being told which cell company to go with, though. The pricing looks pretty attractive.

Seems pricey to me. Don’t I remember you saying you currently use like 1500 minutes a month? That means you’re probably looking at the $100 plan. Eeeek. I can’t bring myself to shell out for a data plan on my phone, since I’m in front of a computer basically all day long anyway.

check out this site for a good breakdown of the actual costs. Family plan looks very promising.:

This is a cool thing also:

The ability to activate your phone from home could save time.

Thanks for posting this. I’ve been looking for the plans. Not as bad as I thought they were gonna be. Only bad thing is the price of the phone.

Wow…so Wendy and I could each get an iPhone with 700 minutes a month and unlimited data plan…for only $110 a month! Well, plus the initial expenditure of $1200 for two iPhones. I better start saving.

BTW Noel, have you seen David Pogue’s review? It’s pretty funny.

In response to #5, I can also activate my Verizon phone from a computer. I think these plans are pretty expensive. I pay $35 for 450 minutes, altho granted I get a 15% discount, but still, $60 is pretty expensive.

    Good luck in Novi. :-)
