OK, this kicks butt all over the Chuck Norris stuff: Random Jack Bauer Fact. Here’s the top 5:
If Jack Bauer was in a room with Hitler, Stalin, and Nina Meyers, and he had a gun with 2 bullets, he’d shoot Nina twice.
If you wake up in the morning, it’s because Jack Bauer spared your life.
Upon hearing that he was played by Kiefer Sutherland, Jack Bauer killed Sutherland. Jack Bauer gets played by no man.Superman wears Jack Bauer pajamas.
Jack Bauer once forgot where he put his keys. He then spent the next half-hour torturing himself until he gave up the location of the keys.

OK, here’s the deal. On my next podcast, I am going to be doing something different. I want to do a show on Cynicism, but I REALLY want your input first. Please, call my comment line at 206 666 5339 and let me know what you think about Cynicism. Here are a few starter questions:
Are you a cynic? Why or why not?
What are you cynical of?
Is cynicism good? Is it bad?
What is cynicisms role in Christianity / Politics / Culture?
Please, call me with your thoughts. I would love to have the next podcast be super interactive. If you would prefer, you can record your own MP3 and email it to me at audi...@dailyjeezit.com. You can leave text comments here, too, but it would be way better if I could hear your pretty voice.

The Word

Thanks to Ben for his thoughts on the word
There is a big difference between reading the Bible like a text book and treating it as God’s breath. After a good conversation with Tim & Jana the other night and hearing about Tim’s experience in going into Seminary and how he’s being taught how to study the scripture I’m beginning to see how I’ve missed out anad the hunger for God’s word is slowly welling up inside me again. Not saying I’m dropping everything and going to seminary tomorrow (hmmm maybe I will), but I think we miss out on a lot because of our faulty ways of using the Bible and our lack of understanding in studying the Word.
I see the difference in messages I hear, one message is given and there are verses that are given to support the speakers Idea and another speaker gives a message and is talking as if they are living thet passage from which they speak. At times it can be subtle difference, but I do know that it is not a subtle difference in my heart.
I have read through the Bible so many times and spent so much time with it “professionally,” that I take it for granted. The italicized quote above really struck me. Thanks, Ben.
