Yes, there really is a Big Bone Baptist Church in Union, Kentucky. And if their name isn’t culturally relevant enough, they have a podcast of their sermons as well. But, by far my favorite part is the top “News Item” on their front page. Here’s a snapshot:
Hopefully the pastor isn’t also the webmaster.
BTW, did I mention it’s Pastor Appreciation Month? Just thought it would be important for you to know.

I was TOTALLY being sarcastic and was mocking any pastor who would point that out on their site. Please, don’t take that as a call to be appreciated in any way.
Remember, my spiritual gift is mockery.

Haha. If I recall we drove through there on our way to LT 2001. Many a inappropriate comment was made. There’s even a Big Bone State Park if I’m not mistaken.

At the risk of bordering on inappropriate -
Actually it’s Big Bone Lick State Park, which is in Kentucky. And i’ve just always been glad it wasn’t on Butt Hollow Road (you can see the street sign), which is just around the corner from Tech in Virginia.

My best friend has pictures from Big Bone Lick. I bet the sign is one of the most photographed things in Kentucky. :) Carlsbad Caverns, Big Bone Lick… that’s about it, really.

So on the topic of big bone lick state park we passed it on our way to florida for spring break and yes i thought about taking a picture of the sign because we got a good laugh out of it.
