Clean Freak

My wife has been cleaning the house for the last week. And by “cleaning the house,” I mean CLEANING THE HOUSE. She is overhauling the house from top to bottom. We have a trailer in our garage packed with trash, we took a vanload of stuff to Goodwill, and our house has never looked less cluttered. Amazing.
The craziest part of this madness was sorting through boxes of stuff that we have accumulated over 10 years of marriage. It was fun to watch my wife read love letters I wrote her a decade ago and then…
…watching her throw them away.
She’s such a romantic.
Anyhoo, over the last several days I have sorted through every CD I own. I kept hundreds and threw away hundreds and hundreds. Mostly, they were old radio promotion CDs that weren’t worth the discs they were printed on.
So, today I loaded a bunch of old CDs into iTunes. Mostly, they were songs I haven’t heard in so long that I wanted to hear them again. Some of these will stay on my computer for awhile, some won’t last a few days. I know this is opening me up for persecution, but I thought I would list the CDs I loaded. This is probably going to age me a bit.

The cool thing is that I recently felt convicted about the songs I have downloaded illegally online. I purged a hundred songs or so off of my computer a couple weeks ago. It killed me at the time, but it’s good to have a clear conscience. And now I have craploads of music to listen to, even though I am now officially an old man because the majority of the music on my computer is old. Oh well.
