In an effort to battle spam, I have implemented a script that closes old entries to comments. Not many people post comments after a month, so I have chosen that as my cut-off. If you care to comment on a post older than that, too bad. The spam is pissing me off so I had to do this.

Hi, I'm Noel and I'm a recovering hypocrite. I spend the majority of my time pastoring and teaching at Riverview, surfing the internet on my iProducts, and hanging out with my smoking hot wife and four wildly talented children. I plan on spending the rest of my life figuring out how to vicariously plant hundreds of churches without ever leaving my church. Oh, and even though I work for Riv, everything here is my personal opinion and nothing more.
Oh yeah, there are two more things you might need to know. The first is that I have disabled comments on this site. If you want to make a comment, head over to Facebook and you'll notice I have imported all my blog posts as "Notes." Sorry if this inconveniences you or if you don't use Facebook, it just helps me have a single place for dialog. Secondly, I don't have a very good archiving system here so if you are looking for something in particular, you are best served to use the search function above or try your luck with the categories or tags below.

What really worked for me was to change the name of my comments script file. I haven’t had one piece of spam since since I did that months ago. Step two on this page explains how to do it.
