So the first to go has gone. Ben and Krista got married today. That may not mean a lot to you, but it does to me. I have done a lot of weddings (including my sister’s and my sister in law’s), but now it is getting really personal.
Ben is one of the first group of High School students I ever worked with. When he was in 8th grade, we sat down in a Burger King and talked for a couple hours about life, doubt, God, etc. Now he is married and it is just the beginning. Next week it is Ross and Ashley. Then within the next year it’s Nicole and Chaz and JD and Devon and…you know. Yes, yes, I know. I am officially old.
As a side note, when I pretended to fight Krista’s little brother yesterday he said to me “You wanna dance, old man?”
It’s the beginning of the end.
Oh, and this is my 501th blog entry.
