Speed Reading

{ MOOD: Great (I should be working on my message, but I wanted to tell you something) | ITUNES: “Conjunction Junction” – Better Than Ezra }
So I bought this book on speed reading yesterday. I have always been fascinated by this and since I read a lot of stuff for work, I thought it might be a good skill to have. At the beginning, they test your speed. They say the average person reads at 250 words a minute. I tested at 380. Yeah, baby. Then, after a crash course in speeding up your “vocal reading,” (I am not to the speed reading or subvocal reading part yet) the book retested me. I scored 608. Now I am excited because I read the book I just told you about in about a half hour and I feel my retention was pretty good. I can’t wait to see what happens when I finish the course. Should be interesting.
OK, now I’ll go work on my message.

Yeah ~ for real will you loan it? I can borrow it from the public library if you’re into hoarding your really good books. :)
