Not long after 9/11, evangelist Franklin Graham stated publicly that in his opinion Muslims worship a god different from the one worshipped by Christians or Jews. The national debate set off by those remarks continues today.

This discussion is limited to these faiths because each believes there is only one God, and all three trace their roots to the Prophet Abraham.

The major point of contention is between Christianity and Islam and how each faith perceives God: Christians say they see God as more personal and loving than the God that Muslim’s worship.

Another point of difference is Jesus; neither Islam nor Judaism recognizes Jesus as God, as do most Christians.
